Or one where I can easily communicate with owners/admins?

Is there a way to subscribe to a thread w/o email notification?

You can email me anytime at greg@nicoclub.com. I love hearing from you guys.

Also, fred@nicoclub.com and torry@nicoclub.com are always open to hearing suggestions.

Subscribing to a thread means you want to know when someone replies - I don't know how that can be done w/o email... Maybe I didn't understand the question.

Feel free to email any admins we are very involed in the day-today of this site.

Some Nico trivia:

Admin areas roughly are:

Greg: Sponsorships, fundamental descisions for the site direction.Myself: Manage the forums structureand atmosphere and conduct Moderator appointments and recuitment..Torry: Forums structure and technical assistance for membersNick: technical assistance for members and site technical assistance and manages our articles sections.

Our Moderators manage their own forums in their own right, with little Admin intervention (they are that good), so if you have a forums specific questions/ideas/contributions you can also contact Moderators for that forum, unless it covers any of the Admin areas mentioned above, then plz contact the Admin in question.

What I mean id that you are subscribed to the thread and when you click on the "User CP" link in the tool bar up top, it will show that thread in the list of threads that you are watching, but you will NOT receive an email alert regarding each reply.

I figure that I can save email server load if I just log in and check it myself, plus if there are multiple replies while I am logged in, I get multiple emails. No big deal- just delete them on my end, but it could save NICO resources for other functions.

I know that it sounds like a pain, but my thinking is this: sometimes I chime in on a thread, but don't need to track every update. BUT I might want to read it for updates, say, once a week. If I subscribe with email and I get 12 responses (while logged in) over the course of the week, that is 12 emails. HOWEVER, if I am just subscribed to it w/o emial notification, I can just click on the link in my user cp (even if I have to change the view to "show all threads in the past 7 days/week") and I see what action there was in that and all threads where I posted.

If I do NOT subscribe, it is a pain (okay, now i am whining) to page back in all of the forums to see where I posted and where I did not in search of the same threads. If I was subscribed, they would all be in the user cp- and all without using any server resources beyond the current system...actually, less because no emails are sent out to me.

Anyway, just a thought.

Edit: for this thread, for example, I will subscribe. But if I did not have email notification and wanted to track it, I could subscribe just log into NICO like normal, then make a trip to the "user cp" my first click once i am on the site. I could see that you attentive admins have replied, and I go read the replies and decide if my question was answered or not.

Another idea is... (I dunno if this is helpful at all or not) to highlight the threads that you have replied to in the past.... so lets say you post something in the thread and u come back the next day and you forgot which thread it was... it can be marked red or something to let u know that you have posted something on that thread.
