This issue that I have is so wierd that I can't figure it out. Drove my car to a parking lot ---Put it on park---turn engine off----hop to the passenger side (driver side were too sunny cause i want to take a nap)----turn ignition to ON then lower my window---turn ignition to off and removed a key. About an hour later turn ignition to ON to close my window and there were no power at all. Decided to just leave it alone. An hr later I try to start a car again and there were just enough juice to start a car. When to Autozone to have my battery test it and it was good. This happened to me twice now doing the exact same thing.
How old is your vehicle? If your battery has vent caps Sears has a battery hydrometer for $5.99You can check the specific gravity & condition of each cell.If the battery is more than three years old you may want to consider replacing it.Check the condition of your battery terminals to be sure there is no corrosion and the connections are tight. Sears also has a wire brush for batteries to clean the terminals and cables.
If you have a volt meter measure the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running. It should read close to 14v if your alternator is charging your battery.
