does this ball bearing belong in the ka/transmission?

so i was finishing up my motor today and put it back in the car.. afterwrds i found this lil guy on the ground where i worked on my motor on

does this belong to something important?

It could go in the trans as one of the detents for the shift rods. If you dindint disaamble the trans then this wouldnt have fallen out. It could be a check valve for the oil galley in the engine. Could be the check valve for the P/S pump. Hard to say just by looking at it since there are so many places it could go. But the only way it could come out is if you disassemble the component it was in.

i had the oil pan and front cover off to replace the timing chain guides.. so oil galley? where and what does that do? i didnt really mess with the psteering pump but it was just sitting there.. where in the psteering pump would it go
