does the m45 have real leather seats?

are they real leather or a mix of real and synthetic? I know most new cars have synthetic leather even ones over 50k,my friends brand new bmw 4 series has a synthetic leather called sansatec. so just wondering what type of leather is in out M's. Thanks for the info in advance!

This issue came up awhile back in the Rogue forum. AFAIK, Nissan/Infiniti like just about all major car brands does not cover their seats in full leather. The parts that come in contact with your body are leather, while the sides and back of the seat are leatherette.

As with most car makers, what they consider leather and what you expect as leather are usually very different. They use phrases like 'leather appointed seats' which is like grass fed beef - if the cow ate grass at any time during it's life it's allowed to be called grass fed - even if their diet was 90% corn and 10% grass. Leather appointed means there is at least one area of the seat that qualifies as leather (probably low quality leather).
