yes it does, a lot.first, gas stations use different gasoline during the winter time. it's a lot worse then summer gasoline.second, cold engine doesn't run as efficiently as a warmed up engine. oil is thicker at lower temps and more energy is wasted moving components.third, you waste more time warming up your car in the winter then you do in the same. standing still with car running = bad mpg.lilojoj wrote:does the cold affect mpg?
LOL you may be correct, since you are from Florida, when it's really hot in the summer the engine can loose power, and since you don't need to defrost your car, you probably do get better MPG!
