So here's the backstory: my exhaust pipes (see diagram) are rusty/loose and are leaking exhaust. Environmental hazard, yes, but doesn't really affect the car's operation (except it seems a bit more sluggish, though this could be for other reasons). However, they make the car REALLY LOUD (think lion-roar-loud), and I need to replace them both (left and right sides). I think it's labeled as #2 on the parts diagram under the exhaust parts group. Anyway, I'm shopping around for either (1) new aftermarket exhaust pipes + catalytic converter, OR (2) used, but original Infiniti pipes. Sellers are asking if I need the rear oxygen sensor, and I'm not sure what to tell them. Supposedly the '96 J30's have a rear oxygen sensor port in the exhaust pipes, but I'm not sure if the 95's do. I don't even know whether my car needs/has a rear oxygen sensor. Any thoughts? Diagrams / pictures of J30 underbody would be especially useful. I'm a visual guy.

Thanks!

From http://sparkplugs.com/, it seems like 95 J30 does NOT have rear O2 sensors. You should double check with others...

You do know that you can look under your own car and see for yourself?

Looks alot like a Spark plug but it will be in your exhaust system.

The rear o2 sensor will be downstream, or behind (towards the rear of the car) the cats.
