So im getting a 370z soon and got my brochure in the mail. So it says the wheels are 6 lbs, or they just 6 lbs lighter?

There's no possibly way the wheels weigh 6lbs. Even 6lbs lighter would be huge, but no way 6lbs a piece

I think the statement was somethign to the effect that the 370 z wheels weight a combined 6 lbs less than the 350z wheels, as in 1.5 lbs each less, I had a set of 10 lb 15x7' keizers, maybe you could get a 13" whele downt o around 6 lbs, actually I think ssr makes a 9 lb 15x7

The wheels are 6lbs lighter per wheel.

Once I find the article where they had the actual weights of the old wheels I will post it. But the 6lbs you read is 6lbs. lighter per wheel.

*edit*Standard 17" 23.26 24.14 Touring 18" v.1 26.56 26.56 Track 18" v.1 18.19 18.62 Touring 18" v.2 24.8 25.8 Track 18/19" v.2 21.25 29.50 - so its 6lbs lighter than these

The 370Z 19 inch wheels should be around 15.25 lbs. for the fronts and around 23.5 lbs. for the rears.

dymag make wheels that could go as light as that... maybe not a 19" but lower I guess...

they're carbon.

and VERY expensive (around $7000 - $10000/set of 19"s)

Well, I weighed my 18" 350z wheels with tires and they're 31 lbs, So I read that those wheels are heavy like 24-26 lbs without tires, so im guestimating 18-20lbs per wheel without tires...

Some seriously light-weight wheels from Dymag. Again, they're around $10.000 for some 18"s-19"s. They can custom make them to your specs, including colors and such.

They are also the OEM provider for wheels for Aston Martin, Koenigsegg, Bentley, etc. (they don't make their own wheels, Dymag makes them and badges them as Aston/Bentley/etc.). They are also into making race wheels for official teams. (Porsche, etc.).

On a forum, some Porsche afficionado said that the ultra-light-weight wheels make up for some 40+ HP difference... which seems a bit much, but 20 HP seems a tad better.

Here are some shots of ultra-light-weight STREET wheels:
