Does the 240sx come with standard air bags?

Im wondering, becuase my dad will only be helping me out, if it comes with dual airbags.

Also, why did the earlier years of the 240sx get a better saftey rating then the later years?

if you want air bags go s14 i dont even know if any s13's had them and im sure they werent dual.:alcoholic

i believe all S14s have dual bags.

dont know about the S13s. all 13s ive seen have no bags.

sounds like one very overprotective parent. Airbags dont really help that much(they were designed to catch an unbelted passenger but ususally just crushed said passenger's chest - which was good enough for the feds until 1998 when they finally started testing with belted passengers and lower power airbags).

the S13s better safety rating is probably due to a more compact interior which has more space between the driver and the outside. why do you think the rustangs and camaros both pulled double 5 star ratings.

just remember with airbags the bag is more likely to kill you than save your life IF you dont wear your seat belt

Well, its my first car.

So, if saftey was your only consern, which would you pick, a s13, or s14?

both cars should be plenty safe. both have plenty of car between you and the outside. and they are pretty low so rollover isn't much of a risk.

if i remember some of the S13s had the mouse motor belts. (perfectly safe if you remember to buckle the lap belt)

go for the s14 it will make you dad happy and it is a newer car. you can get a nice one for 5500.

He may not go for the s14, becuase it got a 3 and a 4, and he may not go for the s13 becuase it has no dual airbags.

well then go for a 95-98 200sx se-r good power not sure on safety but check it out nice cars.
