Does the 240SX come stock with LSD?

I've been reading around a bit, and plan on purchasing a 1992 240SX, 5 speed manual, etc.And I was curious if the 1992 model comes with LSD stock, or if I'll have to purchase an aftermarket LSD for it.

Well, checking the faq wasn't a very specific answer, and the FAQ I just read only included the 94-95 240SX.Is there a way to distinguish which '92 240SX come with LSD or not?I'd prefer to get one with it stock, but buying an aftermarket one is always an option if it doesn't.

I believe the SE model manuals came with an LSD, as well as ABS. I have read in two places that if it has ABS it has LSD, but I have also read that options were rather confused from year to year and cars with ABS don't always have LSD. It has to be listed on the car somewhere what it's equipped with.

i for one, can tell you that canadian S13's DID NOT come with a LSD.. ABS or not..

i've looked through ~20 of them, And owned two.. none of them had it.

Only the HICAS(4 wheel steering)models came with LSD in the s13. it was part of a package that included LSD, ABS, and the HICAS system. It's not really worth stressing over though when looking for a car. Chances are the factory lsd is gonna be pretty worn with high milage and you might just have to replace it anyway. that and it's not worth the extra money(unless he doesn't know what he has like my seller). I would just buy a base or se model(depends on which options you want) and then get an aftermarket lsd.

yes, i looked at two hicas 40's and they did have them.. i should stated non-hicas

Thanks a bunch, an aftermarket LSD is sounding better anyways, now to pick out which to get.Any suggestions on a 2 way LSD?

As stated earlier...only the HICAS ones do. I have a 93 SE manual that doesn't have an LSD

Just to clear things up. Fastback SE models with HICAS have LSD and ASB as part as a package. Coupes do not have LSD even if they do have ABS.

my 91 coupe SE had LSD and came from the dealer lot that way.
