I have a sticking caliper on my 04 Armada (RR). Upon investigating while taking apart the caliper I pulled off the rotor and noticed what looked like brake shoes for the inside drum of the rotor. Is this correct????? I've never heard of a combination put together like that. Anyone have some insight to this???? Thanks

That's the park brake. Disc brakes make poor park brakes since pressure applied to a hot rotor at the same spot consistently will lead to warping. So a lot of cars with rear disc brakes use that integrated drum style park brake.
