I am thinking of replacing the rear muffler on my 99 Q45T and due to the exhaust configuration am thinking that a local exhaust shop is gonna hassle me. Does T3 do exhaust work? anybody had exhaust work done there?

I'm thinking of installing a MagnaFlow muffler and have many options and am not sure what t pick, universal? Muffler with tips? dual inlet? (or blend factory dual into a single pipe)

any ideas?

Thanks
Andy

They sure do but charge extra if you provide the parts like most shops. They don't do interior or audio work.

T3 experimented a decade ago primarily on mine and the owners Q, after some trial and error we came up with using the dual in dual out Stainless steel oval Dynomax Ultraflow supported with 2 bands upon which tabs for mounting were welded.

Watch out for cheap mufflers they often have more back pressure than oem [the loud sound fools many people].

I just want to try something new after cutting out my rear muffler which sounds good but its time for something different.

Tech, did you like the sound? Easy install?

I ran it for a few years but then swapped it for things.
Currently have an entire newish oem system from a 1994Q on my 90.

Quiet is always the best at my age, especially to appear invisable, along with 94 polished wheels.

Never found any gain from the loudest system.........even those with straight pipes after cats. The oem back pressure is so low brand new to even leave 5HP on the table.

in my experience in hearing a handful of different things, its always the best idea for best sound to have a muffler farther toward the rear than farther forward.

I think you'll like the sound a LOT better with a rear muffler in place, even if you cut out the 2 front mufflers.
