Does side mirror replacement require door panel removal on a 2012 Rogue?

In searching I've seen a post that indicates the side mirror can be accessed by just removing the triangular plastic cover rather than the entire door panel. I did try to remove that but wasn't too sure and didn't want to break anything. Found this forum and thought I would ask here as I'm sure someone has the information ;)

I was also trying to see how to get the mirror cover off on the replacement unit but not able to see the cover clips when tilting the mirror up.

This is a 2012 rogue, the mirror has the camera if that makes any difference.

Thanks

The Factory Service Manual is avaliable here for free download under the service manual tab. It will show you how to remove your mirror.

Thanks...

I did find those documents earlier today. It does require the door panel to be removed. Not sure if it will need to come off completely or just enough for access/removal of the mirror trim piece. I'll update after I do this over the weekend in case anyone else has the same question.

Update: Mirror trim piece that needs to be removed for access to the mirror nuts does require the door panel to be removed or at least lifted off the window channel. I didn't need to completely remove the panel and left the cables to the door handle connected with panel supported on the bottom.

All in all quite straight forward.
