Does Price Matter?

After some work i had to do the other day it was clear that i needed some new tools. Since i have what seems to be a timing problem i was going to be in the market for a timing gun. I know it would be a good idea anyways. My question is, Will a more expensive timing light be more accurate or just would price indicate the overall quality make of the tool? thanks
