You can probaly run regular 87 octane for the 3.5 V6, but the engine is tune to 91 Super.

On regular, you won't get all the power it is tune for.

Another octane thread? Folks! Just run 91 or better if you have the 3.5. You paid this much money for a car, the difference in gas shouldn't make or break you.

And for the record, yes octane does make a difference in these cars. Use it

I put in premium, its about 10cents extra per liter over regular, if some how I fill it to max from completely dry, 75L, the extra cost is 7.50$. The engine can take regular, but you loose some of the performance.

it's there in the owners manual, even though it's not required it is Recommended.

you can use ANYTHING you want for the coupe, there are knock sensors that will make the engine adjust to what ever you are giving it. but bear in mind that with less octane you have faster explosions that are less powerful, and with higher octane you have slower explosions than are more powerful. So the cheap stuff gives you less power and less millage than the 91 and up for a 3.5SE.

for the 2.5S since it wasn't designed for premium fuel, you might actually end up slowing it down, or just wasting your hard earned cash for no reason.

I heard to keep the injectors clean, you should use 91 and better.I am no expert on this, but i hope to have my coupe in tiptop condition for a long while so i put nothing but the best into it hope it serves me well...I use 93
