It's either a square button next to the interior light on the driver door panel, or the same lever that opens the fuel door, depending on the manufacture date. If it's the lever, pushing down opens one, pulling up opens the other (should be illustrated, mine isn't this way so I'm not sure which is which).
My key doesn't work in my trunk anymore, either. I think they must have used cheap tumblers for the trunk: all my keys work in the doors and ignition but not the trunk.
If your car is a GXE, you can also open the trunk by putting in your unlock code, then pressing 1/2 (says "TRK" above the button).
Also, just to forewarn you: DO NOT allow the small lever/switch on the trunk lid latch to be switched. This will DISABLE the electronic trunk actuator (intended for use when leaving your car with a valet or the like). If your key doesn't work and you disable the electronic opener, you'll be locked out of the trunk (though you can get in by removing the rear seatback at which point you might be able to manually release the latch with some effort).I'm not sure if this applies to the older (shared-lever instead of button) trunk release setups or not.
