i am considering getting an alarm system..but an oblivious to them. I remember in the summer i had my window open, and unlocked the door on the inside..from the outside and the horn went off.....soo if someone broke the window and did the same or jimmy'd the lock...itd still happen?

what are the advantages of getting an alarm and BB sells a 2 way right now for $200 with LCD remote.I dont need two way at home as i sleep 10 ft from my car, but at my girlfriends im in the basement and its a dark street so yeahhh. Her parents laughed when i backed up 1" to their garage so that my rear door was inaccessible lol

I might get some wheel locks for my 20's (where and $?) but if i can get an alarm that would detect any kind of jerking thatd be great but those sound more expensive.

any input on alarms and if i should even get one would be great. I know nobody will take the q because of the immobilizer, but my deck, subs, and wheels are all gold for those bastards.

yeah guys...im pretty much trying to find ways to blow my $1850 tax return LOL i wasnt expecting to get so much back this year, so im spending it like i stole it

The alarms in our vehicles are only tied to the doors and hatches. Basically, if someone opens the door from the inside when the alarm is set, the alarm will sound. It needs to be locked with a key, remote, or door switch and it takes 60 seconds to arm.

Wheel locks are cheap. You should be able to buy them at any auto parts store for $20-$30. Remember, you only need one lock per wheel. Don't buy 5 sets.

I recommend a good pager alarm system with features like motion detector ( if thats what its called) which basically notifies you if the truck tilts or if any motion around the vehicle is detected. Its a must if you drive a showtruck
