does my 1991 Q45 black stock have ac?

Press auto then use the blue arrow to turn down the temperature.

IF its on auto and you have no AC then your AC is broke

it was 89 today. I turned my AC on because it was raining so I couldn't open the sunroof or the windows. It blew air at 65, cool air, but not "cold icy, and refrigerated" air. What to do? Refill the refrigerant? It sounds like everything is working fine.

Not unusual for the old hoses to leak out in cold weather at this age. You can replace the hoses or just top it off with R12. Drew had success converting to R134.

I use Freeze 12 which is $10 a can. [Search previous threads on this product before buying and using it.]

did you sucessfully use it after installing it on your green Q?

Nope, but it works beautifully on this gold one (leaked out over winter). I just topped off with it.

oh ok so you dropped in freeze 12 so its mixed with R12 as well? Can you do that?

It can be found at some Autozones, local parts stores, and eBay. The screw-on fitting is an R12 type, or you can just use a side tap.

Legally, no. It does, however, work tremendously well.
