Just wondering if anyone knows or has had experience with them?

For a 25? Pretty sure it is a negative. I don't have a very high opinion for them after one of my good friends sent them his CA18 ECU to accommodate for larger injectors, full exhaust, etc, and give it a 'tune'. Took over 2 months we can't tell a difference :-\ and it was $600.

And right after he sent his ECU out, I found out how to read / interpret / edit maps :-\

If you have a 20 or 26, I believe Carl H *may* still do 'chipping' of ECU's. Not sure though with school and such. 25's are a different story since the design of the ECU / EEPROM is totally different. (and if you want to change it, you have to burn another chip.) As I found out, 25's kinda suck in that regard.

Carl H did my rom tune on my rb20. 440cc,s bigger turbo, z32 maf.... My buddy street tuned it with a wideband and from 7psi to 16 psi, the fuel map was nearly perfect, just a little fat in certain areas. My friend has helped build drift cars for formula D and he said Carl's Rom tune was better than some JWT tunes he has tweaked. If he has time to do it..I would reccomend CHT over JWT

rb25 ones are a PITA. you have to change daughterboards if i recall correctly.

Kamin,

You are correct. It is _much_ easier to get a PFC.

If you can get one converted to EEPROM, the RB25 is like any other ECU that can be flashed. The PFC is nice to watch and monitor through the hand controller, etc. I'll pay for bells and whistles.

Carl H FTW....get him to do it and if you require a daughter board then get yourself a PFC or a reflashed rb20 or z32 ecu which I believe Carl can do as well.

My tune was done by him and my setup is weird as hell but he's stood beside to help 100% when he has the time.Definatley the way to go.
