does it matter if i mount an intercooler backwards?

I just received my talon smic intercooler, and i am wondering if it would be ok to mount it back wards?? If i mount it back wards it seems easier to make the charge pipes for it. Do intercoolers even have a front or back side? sorry for the stuped question hahaha thanks :ylsuper

Depends on the design... but I think in the talon case it won't matter

some designs could, but a simple one (most OEM) would be fine switched around.the only design I could think of off hand that would matter is those "delta fin" or whatever, that one brand makes that are shaped for better flow to the radiator.
