Ok, ive been reading around the forums and I have been coming across this topic several times. does the dohc head of a ka24de and the block of a ka24e worth doing the swap? does it make more considerable power? does it make more power than the ka24de block with the ka24de head? give me some facts please!

no facts here but as far as I know you cant do that mix due to porting differences and timing control differences.

i know of one person who has a de head on his stanza's e motor. i am not too sure how much power he is making or even if he got it running. i know the ka24e pistons(from the 89-90 s13) in a regular ka24de gives high compression. its like 11.2 to 1 for the 90 pistons and 11.5 for the 89 pistons. or was that 12? i dont know.

search through the KA forum, there is a really good thread on this. a few guys keep auguring its possible (thread is called something like "ok guys here is proof") Ive seen a few people start but no one finish... So to answer you question, everything is supposed to line up, with the ecepsion of the timing cover which people say you can make a plate to go over, but It seems something is always going wrong when its attempted, may be possible but it isn't just slapping a few different motors together. You may want to continue your questioning in the 240 tech section and the KA secton, if Im not mistaken this section is mainly about stock repairs to your car.

Sean you are correct, this forum is for daignosing and repairing problems with a vehicle, not neccesarily stock but still diagnosis questions. I am weak on mod side as I have never really dabled with modifing cars, but Chris does have quite a background with that side of things so we are not just limited to stock diagnosis.
