Hi Folks - some of you may have read my last thread about the leak in my roof. Thankfully, the dealership I purchased it from is having it replaced at no cost to me, so that's great.

Because of that leak, I noticed that a lot of water was dripping down the connector cable from the back of my rear view mirror and into the connector port on the rear view mirror. I unplugged the mirror and could feel water inside the port so I took a cotton swab and a blow dryer to try and dry out the port. My compass and dimming on the rear view have worked since I bought the car 2 weeks ago, but my Homelink has never worked. When I press buttons 1&3 to clear it out, the red light never comes up, nor does anything happen when I push any of the HL buttons.

I looked at the fuse panel on the inside of my car (left kicker panel) and didn't see anything specific to HL. Could I be wrong?

If my HL is just toast due to the water, how much would a replacement mirror run me via eBay or a junk yard?

Thanks!

The fuse for the "homelink universal transceiver" is #19 (10amp) in the fuse box J/B which is located next to the emergency brake. The electrical diagram shows that it shares the fuse with the "auto anti-dazzling inside mirror". The troubleshooting procedures are in the BL section of the factory service manual on pages BL-278 through BL-280.

So, in theory though, if this fuse were to be blown, my auto-dimming mirror including the compass would not be working, yes?

Or the unit could be defective. The one in my 2011 Rogue was not working and was replaced under warranty.
