when i had my resonator removed i asked the welder the same question and he told me it doesnt matter so i never hooked it back up. if you really want it hooked back up go to a junk yard and get one cause the dealership probably charges an arm and leg for it. any autoparts store would have a braided style ground wire with connectors as well.

you can definitely get a new ground strap from car parts or pepboys etc. If the engineers put it there...there might be a reason.

it is an added ground to keep the exhaust grounded since it is hung by rubber gromets. you can always get a yellow eyelet cut the plastic peice off it crimp your braided wire in it add soilder and reattach it to the bolt it broke off of.

Go to your local autozone and purchase a universal grounding strap.
