Does Fram make an oil filter for the Versa?

Are you kidding me? I won't let a Fram touch neither of my cars. They're one of the worst filters. Even a Supertech (Walmart brand) for half the price is built a lot better.

Indeed. Supertech are among the best budget filters. Super cheap and manufactured by the same company that makes Mobil 1 filters. The Supertech's materials aren't quite as good as the Mobil 1s, but they're still superior to Fram's and many others. I've used Supertech filters on my cars for years.

Factory filter is the best way to go. I think I paid less than $5 for it the last time. Very cheap investment to keep your car running smooth. As others have already said, Fram is definitely not the answer.

walmart carries supertech, mobil 1 and fram superguard oil filters where I am from. Checked recently as I have an oil change coming up, the Mobil 1 filter was $6.XX.

Go to an Advanced Auto and look at the book they have. It'll show what filters are there for the car be it Purolator or Fram. I personally use the factory filters for the Versa and K&N oil filters for my 240SX.

It doesn't really matter what filter you use as long as it has an anti-drain back valve (I think all do) and is built well (which is NOT fram).

Fram use to have one of the best filters on the market for years till they were taken over by honeywell -then the workmanship and material grades went majorly down hill. I use to use fram on my Dakota all the time till I seen what wasn't inside the fram for filtering material.Now i use napa filters on the Dodge and factory filters on my V.....I had better use the factory filters ..I work for the dealership I bought the car from....If i didn't the parts manager would kick my *** all around the dealership....

I am not sure if Fram makes a filter or not for the Versa, I would not consider a Fram so I haven't looked.

Last time I bought a few Nissan filters, they were made in China. That kind of turns me off concerning the potential quality issues. Quality control problems are a known issue in Chinese manufacturing.

Purolator does make a Pure One filter for the Versa. Very good quality filter and my choice from now one for the Versa. The newest versions of the Pure One has a nice grippy surface, a very important consideration given the akward location of the Versa filter.

I use a Wix. And you think the oil filter on a Versa is in an akward place? Try changing the filter on a 2001 Chevy Cavalier... worst location ever.

As far as quality issues with China, you may find it hard to buy ANYTHING that is not manufactured there and they are just taking the American business model that cheaper production means more profit. Let the BUYERBEWARE (be afraid)!
