Does Black Top eliminate the AIV?

It is known that "later" SR20DET doesn't have AIV because the ECU makes the engine run lean at idle.

I kind of like this feature over the redtop AIV approach.

My question is, does the s13 blacktop have the AIV???

I had to remove the AIV on my blacktop. I bought one of the easy install kits from Heavy Throttle, and it came with a plug to fill the hole once removed.

I will be posting pics soon of the engine and the swap as well.

Oh okay, so it is concluded that the blacktop still has an AIV valve.

I believe it's the S15 SR20 that didn't have the AIV. Or maybe it's both S14 and S15? I don't remember, but the S13's do have it.

do you need his par on the s13? i took mine of and it runs fine
