No offense, but nitrous isn't exactly classified as N/A.

And personally, I respect times a LOT more when they come from the motor, not some gas ejected by pushing a button. Your car isn't any quicker than anyone else's with similar mods when you aren't running the N20.



Edit - I reread your post and realized you stated non-turbo. If by this you're also asking for other people's times who are running N20, my apologies for sounding harsh. When people say non-turbo I automatically think naturally aspirated.

you have nitro. in your car for what reason you already dq your self N/A=100% pure engine no fprced induction no nitros just engine...how fast is your car without the nitros...?

n/o but why the hell would you want to waste your money on nitrous anyway...like they said turbo is the way to go it all ways had been...thus the ca18bet and the sr20det it;s a damn shame they didn't make a turbo ka...

Who cares if its respectable or not? You're telling me the rotarty powered 82 corollas I see at the track running 9s aren't respectable because they squeeze a 2-300 shot? Come on. It's 12.4 and its fast. No one here besides Aries said they can beat it.

Thanks Aries and APexi240. I joined this forum because i thought it was guys that have been doing this longer than i have, and that they could help me. I simply wanted to know what else i should do to my engine without going to a swap or turbo. I didnt mean to affend anyone, but obviously i did. I like the point about who cares if i am running nitros or not. i want my 12.4 to drop, and i was asking for help. There are ALOT of 240s faster than mine, but if i gave up and was like, oh well, mines slower than yours, then by god i dont need to be racing. There is always a faster car, but we work towards getting faster. Breaking our on times. Once again i say thank you to the two guys that make me feel like i am a member of this site. Aries and Apexi240.

For more power, try going with a 5 angle valve job on the head, and raising the spray level.

Is your Nitrous setup a dry or wet kit?

If it is wet, raise your fuel pressure 1 psi for every 20 hp of nitrous above 50 and spray it down.

Another option on a wet kit is to dirrect port each runner with it's own nozzle and spray about 25 hp per cylinder. this allows the motor to get a guaranteed even distribution of N2O and will help in preventing the problem of headgasket blow out on the rear of the head that is common with most commercial Nitrous kits.

My old KA was set up for N2O and ran perfectly on a 200 hp DRY shot for more than a year.

i still think nitrous is N/A. The reason is...it IS made of natural gases. I wouldn't mine having nitrous again, which I did before. But filling it up is a biatch and can't really use it any time that i wanted, due to the fact that the bottle is in the trunk. Great for track time though, but rather have a turbo than nitrous.

Technically it is N/A. It is not forced induction, therefore it is still naturally aspirated.

But this has nothing to do with it. The air flowing through your turbine or blower is just as natural!

Hmm...spray is gay, did you think of that one all on your own. N20 is without a doubt the best power adder. I would like you to list any other mod that costs under $1000 and you get anywhere from 25 to 300 hp.

If you don't like N20 then don't use it. Don't bust on this kid cause he does.

Ummm, I would agree that it is the CHEAPEST "power adder", but definately not the best!!

For $1000 you can take any boosted engine and get some pretty respectable power gains.
