so a while ago there was a clean dc2 integra in my school parking lot. i was walking around it and i realized dude had one of those wheel locks that cops use to immobilize the vehicle. i did some search and found out that its called a alphalock, and can be found at: http://www.alphalock.com

well i was wondering if it's a worthwhile investment. does anyone have one? it would seem like a good idea unless they wanna flatbed ur car then theres not much u can do. since im getting new wheels and stuff this summer i thought maybe i'd invest in one since it's not too expensive either. so if anyone has em, please post! thanks!

If a dude had it on a honda/acura, it can't be good for our cars.

lol it wasn't a meter it was in a school parking lot which surprised me more.

but the teg was very very cleanly done. makes some of the 240s on here look ricey.

but enough w/ the honda flaming, does this stuff really work tho? i'll probably put it on when i get home at night, it's not like it takes an hour to do, i'll just think of it as locking my bike lock whenever i ride my bicycle.

Maybe it would work if the thief was lazy or didn't think ahead to bring a floor jack. Seems like all said "thief" would need to do is jack up the vehicle remove wheel with the alphalock and replace with a spare or something. On a side note I like how the picture is of an old *** deville

Most of my friend which drive hondas and all the honda head around my way use wheel locks.it makes it alil more harder to steal the car beside if u have cut offs and stuff.but of the other hand people do put them cause mostly they have a nice wheels, seats,cf hood/trunks and what ever freaking v-tec swaps and don't want it to get stolen.wheels locks for us is a very nice to have just cause more poor thiefs buying 240s and stealing parts and stuff.

I'm having a sleepless nights cause of you poor f**kers

Im in Brooklyn as well. I was street parked and sleepless nighty finally ended when they smashed my window and stole all my audio and cracked my bezel while they were at it. Luckily none of my good stuff was installed yet. Now I'm garaged at an undisclosed location. Most thieves out there are the unprepared dummies that steal gauges and don't take the sending units or the brain of the electronics. So anything you can do that will pose an immediate obstacle is a good idea. Make them think its going to be a lot of work to take your stuff and they may just as well move on to someone else.

The alphalock might work but all somebody would need is one dolly under that wheel and that car is up on a flat bed in no time. Theft deterrent buys you time. If somebody is determined enough to have your car they will get it, depending on your countermeasures it could take 5 minutes or an hour. I can be inside my car in about 2-3 minutes and thats including bending the hanger to reach the door lock (damn frameless windows). I've got a bad habit of locking my keys in my car....

It makes sense cuz it was a lame attempt at making fun of Hondas...you know, humor.

I don't see the humor in that. (not being preachy)I know of a couple of guys with really clean, well thought out and properly set up Hondas. It is a shame to me, a CAR guy not a Nissan guy, when we as a whole have to take these kinds of counter measures.I am tempted to buy one such EG Si for a very good price, but the hassle of securing it is the only thing keeping me out of it. It has been broken into 3 times. Poor kid loves his car, but so much money and so much grief, somethings gotta give. That being said, the truly motivated individual will succeed, both in taking and keeping. If it buys you some time, and you feel the investment is worthwhile, do it. I may get one myself.

Wheel locks usually come with the rims depending on where you buy them from but as for a boot I put the small red wheel clamp on my car when I'm at work because it is a notorious lot for cars getting jacked and brought to the not so good neighboring cities. Like you said its like the very simple task of locking your bike up.

Bring a jack...jack the car up...remove the tire, replace with spare tire in trunk...

Jesus...that sounds like a LOT of trouble just to steal a car. If I was a thief I'd just move to the next car without a stupid lock on it. Also, this locky thing + locking lug nuts is an even better idea.

Locking lugs are a joke. They are WAAAAY to easy to get off.

I actually heard that all you have to do is stick a socket in there big enough to go over the lock and jam it in there and turn it. I am thinking of getting a alpha lock but it just brings unnecessary attention

that dont look like it works to well, my boss bought a boot to put on our trailer at work and it works good cause it covers the lug nuts. that thing in the pic you could just take the wheel off and put on another wheel.

Having one that covers the lug nuts seems like a priority.

If you have a nice looking Civic or Integra and live in North Jersey or NYC, you NEED this.
