Heya everyone, I am new here but not really.

I need help from anyone here who might be familiar with this car, I need its backstory.
Mods like these are usually posted online somewhere, unless these were done in the early 90's.
This car has been in California since 2010, I dont know where it was before that.

So here is how things went today...

After almost 10 years I finally bought another Z, in fact it was what I wanted to do with the 93' 2+2 me and my wife.... Ex-wife had together.

I could not pass this car up, even though she looks terrrrrrrible she sounds oh so beautiful.
Pretty much nothing is known about this car by the previous owner other than it has some idles issues, probably needs tune work and the body is an old wide body conversion.

From what I saw tonight it seems like a stock TT swap with full aftermarket exhaust, BIG mandrel bent aftermarket exhaust :woot: BUT no cats. :frown:
I saw no aftermarket suspension or brake parts and no engine side performance parts other than a cone filter and an aluminum UDP.

The body kit is cracked in several area's and molded to the body of the car, front to rear is 1 piece connected via the rocker panels.

If anyone is familiar with this car, please tell me as much as you can about it.
Thank you. :)

Looks to me like the rear fenders may have started life as strosek pieces, the rear bumper looks like a custom piece. I have no idea about the front fenders and the front bumper is an extreme dimensions vader which I believe is a knock-off of some Japanese original.

Awesome, thanks for the help on that. :)
I knew the front was a Vader but that is all I knew.
The first Z I ever saw in the wild had a full Vader kit on it, I was like 18 or so (35 now) lol.
Fun Fact: My favorite Hotwheels as a kid was a Blue 300ZX, I had a silver one too. This was long before I ever saw them in the wild but I knew that I had to have this car one day!

Welcome aboard sir, we have a wealth of z32 knowledge on this forum and a pretty laid back attitude, hope you'll stick around.
My fun fact: when I first saw the Z32 (I was about 10, 31 now) I HATED IT, I thought it was the ugliest thing on wheels, fast forward 9 years I bought my first one and fell deeply, madly, stalker naked in the bushes watching her in the shower, in love.

I saw one when I was about 8-9, didn't think much of it, four years later I was on the hunt for as much info about them as possible and that passion hasn't ended

Why not just swap in some kind of N/A motor and get it running? Could just sell it afterwards or something

LoL, thats awesome. :D

Thanks for the welcomes too but truth be told, my Ex was a member on here and I have been stalking these forums for at least 10 years. :D
I took a break after we sold our last Z in around 2009-ish.

Librilz were you telling me to swap a N/A motor in? She runs great, why would I do that?! lol

This weekend I am going to spend some -cough- intimate time with her and try to learn her secrets. :D

I do have this to ask, what do I do for cats?! Will the 2+2 system work just fine or am I going to have to modify a TT system by adding a little length to the straights before the cats?

Thanks guys.

I got the cats figured out now that I have it here.
Its not missing everything like I had thought, so I am just going to grab some CARB legal weld ins and slap em in.

I was having fun with her last night making several WOT pulls on our frontage road, she is very crisp and responsive and that boosts hits hard. Oh the memories. ^_^
Also, unless the gauge is off, I am building about 12-13psi.

I did notice that the front pass side rotor is warped, no worries, ive been down this road a few times. lol
I've got someone that wants to sell me a new Power stop complete F+R kit for $200 or I may do the 350Z big rotor upgrade.
