How much power-gain dif there is between Stillen cat-back and axle back? The cat-back price is going to kill my wallet and I wonder, in your guys' honest opinion if it's worth the extra $300+/- bucks to go full cat-back. (mind you I work a _____ job and this economy blows! Hook a brother up!

As far as i know an axel back exhaust is gonna be mainly for sound. i dont believe it will give you a lot of extra power. The reason why is because your just adding it on to the stock piping which is EXTREMELY restricted. if your lookin to really open her up and let her breath, find an exhaust thats almost all straight piped and one that has a larger diameter than the stock. Stock goes down to about 1.5" at the smallest. you can get something bigger just dont go too big (more than 2.5" unless you have a turbo) because you'll lose the "vaccuum" the pipe creates to pull the exhaust gasses out and you lose a little low end power.

If you are looking for the best bang for your buck... get a straightpipe bent for you... or get something off ebay using the live.com 25% off

Id grab a fujita, RSB and eibachs before id get the exhaust IMO

You think getting pipe bent up and doing some Flow master or eqiv would be better then axle back? $500 is steep for two shiny mufflers..... I would think I could have a shop fab up something and the price of the mufflers for +/- $500. I'm not worried about the suspension....I had a Stillen LRS bar snap a tie rod and killed my 2005 Alti about a year and a half ago. Not Stillens fault but none-the-less I'll not be messing w/ the suspension. Anyone w/ a 2.5 that had a shop fab something w/ "store bought" mufflers want to (please) chime in? Price of the job you got done would be awesome. P.S I'm trying to get a hold of a guy that Stillen gave me the number to that does high volume sales of Stillen stuff so we can get some deals/ GB.

I agree for an axel back but I beg to differ for a cat back tho.. the 2.5 exhaust is very restricted and i believe that i got a good amount of power with my Artisan cat back exhaust. The butt dyno never lies

Straight pipe is the best way to get power improvements. i talked to a guy who was gonna fab a setup for me and it was gonna be about $540 for parts and labor but i decided against it and got premade exhaust put on.
