I am trying to lower my Q45 cuz i'm tired of looking like a chevy riding high. I have contacted several people and no one has gotten back with me. Only thing i can find is megan coilovers on ebay, but wanna see if there is anything better out there. I would like to get some springs first to save money and then do air bag system later.

I'm looking for new/used springs and possibly camber kit (if available). Any information will be helpful, thanks in advance.

You should try calling MemoryFab, their website www.memoryfab.com doesn't look like they can help you, but call them. They have the Espelir and Tein springs. I used Tein to go down 2", I agree, i see other 2nd gen Q's on the street and they look like something my dad would be driving after dropping mine.

No camber kits, so don't go too low. Eibach on mine have enough negative camber I have to flip all the rime.

I have no real issues with my 2" lowering. Eibach makes nothing for the 2nd Gen so no help there. I have Eibach's on my 84' 300ZX, they are not 2" lowering but still have some camber issues.

If your going to do it make sure you have a good alignment shop that knows how to deal with it and you'll be okay. It is a concern, tires will not last as long, if your car is a daily driver and you're going to slam 15k a year, don't lower it. I drive my Q 3-4k a year so tire wear isn't a big issue for me.

y33 coilovers are becoming more available. bc, megan, and powered by max (available soon) have new apps, but they involve cutting the oem damper off the spindle and welding a new sleeve in. all have camber plates, although i haven't found them to be very useful on uca-less suspension.

another option is using s chassis components. this involves using a handful of adjustable arms, new front spindles, some component mixing and matching, and s chassis coilovers. for that work you will have a tunable suspension and be able to slam the piss out of your y33. if you're not looking to go that low i'd say stick with springs.

Try calling the guys at memoryfab and see if you can get the KYB SR Specials and some Espelir lowering springs. While coilovers are nice, the only ones that I have seen easiily available are the megan's which require "welding" to install. I haven't seen anybody post up any good results on those yet.

I'll have my suspension setup for sale in a couple weeks. Impul springs in the front and JIC coilovers in the rear. I'm only selling them because I'm putting 240sx coilovers on the car and airbags.

Rears will be adjustable. Here's how they look on the car:

I haven't figured a good price to sell them for yet but feel free to send me offers in the meantime.

Yashio : How is the camber on the front? I was looking into stillen camber plates that are like $400. I'm pretty interested in your set up as my car almost looks as good as yours...haha.

I know JICs are pretty pricey; therefore, I hate to lowball you too low. Why don't you give me a bottom line figure?

They are JIC SA-1 coilovers to be exact. I can work with $500 shipped for the rear coilovers and front lowering springs. I am hoping to have them off the car by the end of next weekend. I don't check this forum often so leave me your email address and I'll keep in touch that way.

I am running -2 degrees in the front and -4 in the rear.

Just find out, that Megan Racing is offering a coilovers for q45 97-01

It needs some welding done but the price is quite cheap...
