I love Grand Turismo 3, I'm wondering when will the 4th one come out. Anybody have any idea? I couldn't find it anywhere on the net, hoping that they are going to make GT4. BTW, does anyoe else have this game?

why can't you drift with stock cars? They can still drift just a little. End of next year huh? ****, I might as well go get another PS2 and the GT3 since they were stolen huh? I was planning on getting the PS2 when GT4 comes out.

Want to drift really good, just swap some simulation tires on the car. Thats how I drift, I have my right analog stick for gas(have to press it up) driver steering to advanced(simulation, I think sux *** and is far from reality) and simulation tires. Try it out, it works well.

I downloaded a video from Kazaa that someone made showing some drifting in GT3, made my skillz look like 2 year olds. I have tried setting up many different cars for drifting in that game and i can never get the proper control i am looking for to allow me to slid out the back and keep it there nicely. (either all over the place, or spinning out) I drift in real life much better. I really only think that game is good for a basic understanding of finding and taking the proper lines. as for being realistic, its not.

As for GT4, I will most likely buy it. and what ever happened to GT3 Concepts??

What i really want to play is a game that lets you customize cars like GT3, and controls the same, but is fully online, and is more street racing (location to location in real cities) with many different roads to take, and cops to avoid (so you may have to obey speed limits and traffic lights) with big races with lots of cars, and also maybe just the ability to drive around and race someone spur of the moment.

I would hope there will be a combination of Xtreme Racer Zero and GT3 put together. Imagine that you can costomize your own car and swapping out motors and stuff. I think JRC's idea would be great.

I think that GT3 has a glitch on drifting. If you taking a corner at a very high speed, like that corner after the straight away, in arcade mode, the road track...you know what track i'm talking about. If you take that corner at a high speed, pull the ebrake hard, steer your car into the corner, and release the ebrake and press the gas. Now, in real life, you would countersteer right? Well, you don't need to countersteer here. It's weird. I did it all the times and my exit speed is at around 70-75 MPH. If you countersteer, the game will think you want to go the other way, which will cause you to oversteer, and will spin you right out. Go ahead, try it. It's better to NOT countersteer when you are at high speed.

If you going slow, like 80 mph into a turn, you can try to countersteer, but you might want to jiggle the steering left to right to keep your speed.

Drifting is really fun, but not that great if you are playing in amature or pros because they have tires control thing. I always try to drift whenever there is no tire control when i'm ahead, cause it's so cool.

Also, on the dirt track, you don't have to countersteer to through a corner. All you do is make sure your car is drifting, let go of the steering and just press the gas. You will drift and going at almost the same speed.

Did you know changing the oil for the first time in any car increases your HP?

If you have 2 memory cards, here is the trick.Complete that european race in amature series. Save your game after the 4th run, and exit when you are on the track for the last run. make sure you won first place in your first 4 tracks. You should get a car call vertigo, if not, just load your memory card and try again.

Now, save it once you got the car, to both memory card.Go to your garage, sell the vertigo, you should get 300,000.Buy whatever car you want, and then supe it up to the limit.Save it into your 2nd memory cardLoad your first memory cardGo to tradeLoad your 2nd memory cardBuy the car that you just suped up for the manufactur price with all the options.Get it? I love this game so much. If you guys need help, let me know, i'll help you guys.

There was another thread about this about 3 weeks ago somewhere on here. But anyway, the latest word I have heard was that GT4 would be released sometime mid to late next year in Japan.

And as far as GT3 Concepts, that was never supposed to be released in the states. It did get released in Japan and Europe though. It's been out for awhile now.

True, but I'd rather a GT that came out later and was more accurate than promised, rather than it coming out sooner but not living up to expectations.

It seems every GT so far has been better than expected. I'd like to keep it that way even if it means I have to wait longer.

i can drift on gt3 and my fav car i use is the 240sx type x. I saw that vid from kazaa and its called gran dorifto. i was puzzled when i saw that vid then i knew it had to be simulation tires. I taught myself to drift on super soft tires . I am searching a suitable opponent who can escape from my counter-attack MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! o and that glitch one of you mentioned about drifting w/o counter steer , i dont think its a glitch but just a powerslide. If you control drift right the car should not go the other way but instead go the way you want it to go. I drifted w/o counter steer to when i just started playing gt3 but i think its better if you counter steer, it gives you more control of the car while drifting.

You can get any car on GT3 to drift pretty easily. You just have to know what you are doing with suspension setups. I set up the Pagani Zonda to drift awesomely. It took drastic changes from stock, but nevertheless, you can set it up to drift, without using simulation tires even.

No, I don't see that ever happening. Not with Sony Polyphony being the ones who created the GT series. They'd be hurting their own playstation sales by doing that.

From what I've heard, it will be. I can't imagine it not being online. Half the new games right now are already online compatible.

You just have to know how to change spring rates, sway bar stiffness, ride height, shock rebound and damper, etc, to make the car handle more like u want it to. It's too much to explain, but read a book on suspension geometry and you will get a better grasp of it.

I've got about 94% I think, but I also have the entire arcade mode (including all the time trials) beaten. And I've got all gold on my B license, and almost all gold on my A license. I don't consider the game complete until I have 100% and all gold in ALL licenses.

For GT1 and GT2, I have every race complete, all of the arcade modes complete, and all Gold in ALL licenses. MWHAHAHA. I think the hardest level on any GT game ever has to be IA-7 license test on GT1, getting gold. That took me like 6 months playing nothing but that level to get gold. But I eventually did it. That's beating SS Route 11 with a Viper GTS in under 2.03 if I remember right.

Damn, I got a gold on the first license, but then i quit trying to get gold because the ib or ia is so fricking hard and i just wanted to get the license. Too bad my PS2 got stolen when it was in my brother's car, which was stolen also. I should go out and get another ps2 huh? Anyways, Sometimes when i countersteer, i spin out though, going at a very high speed (160+) and entering a corner. And it was depending on the corners also. I countersteer a lot when drifting and it worked fine...but sometimes i spun out though. Just gotta get the feel of the car. I love drifting with the NSX. The R34 is really nice to drift also. Never tried to drift with a FWD car, even though, i heard it's a lot easier. Sorry, not drift, Powersliding...hehehe. Where do you guys find info on GT4?

Just search google for "GT4 PS2" or you can go to ign.com and search for "GT4". There isn't really much info out there, but there is some. Some stuff I have heard through a friend, but has found out stuff the same way I do. On the internet. And if he tells me something I haven't heard, I usually look it up and he ends up being right, and vice versa.
