i couldn't find any information anywhere regarding whether or not tomei actually MADE their own intake manifolds, and their website only lists their exhaust headers. anyone know if this is just another intake manifold made by another company and just painted to match the valve head cover?

Definitely Tomei,

Was avid on their website months ago and saw some thing about them making an individual throttle body (since they already made it for the sr20de) intake manifold for the sr20det. It seems that they finished it (engine site is down in tomeiusa.com)? That would be awesome if its actually done. They would be the first to produce an individual throttle body manifold for an SR right?

**ADDED**

Just found this... seems they might have taken the Derive out of their list?

http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003....html

2003 catalog, shows both crate engines.

Here is the section about the manifold:

http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003....html

"We are developing special 4throttle system including surge tank for turbo model. It will bring extreme response and performance to the engine and enables you to drive much faster in the track, smoother in drift run, and giving nicer exhaust note. We are testing various forms of serge tank with flow bench tester to get the best result now. Please wait few more moment for the extreme 4throttle system from TOMEI."

It's been 5 years (damn so its been that long since I've seen it >.<) Hope its either finished... or will be!

Wow that's awesome! I've never seen a turbo setup like that, either.

yeah me neither. never really thought of an ITB + Turbo setup before.. it was always either one or the other. does anyone around here have a similar setup?
