Does anyone know of a TB that will bolt up that has an extra pulley for cruise?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

I am looking for this RB25 throttle body that will allow me to use my cruise. Yes I plan on posting a DIY if it works.

I would prefer anything that requires no/minimal mods to fit.

Thanks guys - Evan

A nissan pathfinder has the throttle braket on the correct side of the TB for cruise control. I would have tried to bolt it up to mine but it was a customers car and I didn't want to loose any thing on it.

Wish I'd known about the pathfinder TB sooner. My buddy actually just added on another throttle channel to the side of the RB one. Hey Evan, from looking through the FSM, it looks like the cruise control is separate from the ECU and *should* still work independent of what motor is in the car, right? I couldn't get mine to work because my speedo wasn't working after I finished my swap but I just swapped in an LSAuto 180mph speedo and an RB tach into the s13 cluster. Unfortunately, I can't test it because the motor is still in pieces as a result of my stillborn HG swap (still waiting on my replacement cam to come in) Make sure you get that DIY write-up done once you get the TB issue sorted.

Guys, it does appear that 100% of the wiring is the same as long as you do not cut any of it out! I was meticulous about that when I did my harness.

I can hit my cruise on switch on my dash (s14) and if I hit the set button the cruise light on the dash comes on. I did not used to have a speed sensor, and when I did it then it made it flash.

I suspect it will be a matter of sorting the throttle body, and wiring up kill wire to the clutch (If the switch for the brake lights is seperate from the cruise switch I may grab it there).

I also have to make sure there is no wiring disconnected from when I pulled the auto that will prevent everything from working as it should.

I promise I will do a writeup on this when I get it working.

BTW, how did he add another channel to his? I can always use that as a last resort.

Dammit, I forgot to take pics of the TB today when I was with the car earlier. Sorry. It definitely wasn't a bolt on affair as we had to actually machine a few small parts to make it work. I'm sure it could be done easier than the way that we did it but we didn't know that a pathfinder TB could theoretically work.

hmmm this is odd because I know for a fact that my cruise relay is still attached to my KA upper harness in the garage right now. I'm thinking a little modification is necessary to get everything to work properly.

Ill figure it out and let everyone know! I do quite a bit of long distance driving so it would be great to have!

UPDATE; I hit the salvage yard today. I did not find any units that would directly bolt up with cruise. I did, however, grab a pulley off of a pathfinder and am going to try and figure a way to attach it to my factory unit.

I also scored a q45 maf for 45 dollars.

Alrighty, turns out adding a row of pulley onto the factory RB25 throttle body is cake.

I grabbed a throttle pulley off of a pathfinder at the junkyard the other day, it was a TB with cruise. I took the pulley, spring, pretty much everything off the throttle shaft.

Ill post pics, because a description makes no sense. If i get lazy and forget to post email me if you wanna do this.
