keep in mind those are stock low boost power levels, mine has 299 at the wheel (see sig) 400 whp is possible with the L28ET (thats the 280ZX Turbo motor) to get there you need Ijectors, larger turbo, managment system, I/C, and headstuds with a metal HG, at which point the stock cast pistons are really pushed to the limit and are due to melt at any time, there are a lot of 400 whp L28ET's runing around, my motor is a 183k mile junkyard motor loosing compression in #2, after a fresh bottom end I'm making a run for 400
and yes it would likely be cheaper to turbo the KA but I'm not familiar with it's limits but I'ms sure you'd end up buying all the same parts except the mototr is already in your car, I'm a fan a turbo'ing a stock configuration over a motor swap especially when that swap yeilds less displacment, If I had a 240SX I'd turbo the KA, Ive done simple and radical engine swaps and unless the stock power plant is a real dawg unable to support the desired power it's gonna be cheaper and easier to build on what you already have
