does anyone know can you split SSR viennas or are they welded together?

hey guys, i just bought 2 SSR viennas and 2 mae riverdishs, which are 3 piece split rims. now on the MAE wheels, the 3 pieces are welded together but i havent had a chance to take the tyres off the SSR vienna kreis yet and i was wondering are they welded together too??

i bought the wheels with the intention of splitting them and putting bigger dishes on them, but now im worried they are welded together which is a pain in the a**!!

does anyone have an answer for me???

like have you ever split them yourself or do you know if i can???

Are these truly multi-piece wheels, or just multi-piece look?

Assuming they're actually multi-piece wheels, the sections will be held together by a sealant that may have hardened over time to the point it doesn't want to come apart.

Some manufacturers use a silver colored sealant and I've seen others actually paint the sealant.

I'd try heating the "bead" with a heat gun or maybe take a hack saw blade to it and see if it acts like sealant or "metal".

I now this already, but what seems to happen with the jap split rims is they weld them together, which pretty much defeats the purpose of it being a 3 piece!

just wondering has anyone ever split them or are they welded???
