does anyone know about the "Hiprospeed" 4-2-1 headers?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I found this header system on ebay, but never heard of them, so i was wondering if anyone has experience with the HIPROSPEED brand.

Never heard of them, they sound like another cheap knockoff. A little digging and I only see a header for the GA16DE anyway.

here is a link to the ones i found. it says they are for the 2.5L spec-v. it does say they are "JDM Style". I take it that JDM is a manufacuter?

Would it be a bad idea to go with a knock-off, besides the brow beating I'll take from JDM enthusiasts?

I'm a dope. JDM means Japanese Domestic Market. So i have no clue what brand its modeled after if it's a knock-off.

"JDM-style" is just a buzz phrase nowadays. There's no Sentra in Japan, so they're full of it anyway.

Go for OBX if you want to save money.

heres the link directly from there website for the sentra http://www.obxracingsports.com/products.php?pk=947 says its fine for everyday driving so i dont know where you got the off road thing? I know hotshot headers use to say that so maybe the sellers on ebay just dont know what they are talkin about.

It's offroad use only as a disclaimer, more or less.

It removes the precat, so you have to trick your 2nd O2 sensor or use a sim to avoid throwing a code. You can find more info on how to avoid the code in the Table of Contents.

yeah i wouldn't trust e-bay parts... i think there are a couple other headers like hotshot, xs, and nismo. I don't know if they are all carb legal tho.

hey nametakennow does that little statement go for our SE's too with the o2 sensor? I looked at my current stock headers and it doesnt look like it has a pre cat on it, does anyone have an SE stock header picture i can see??? Im not so sure if i have stock headers now. Where are the o2 sensors usually located on the SE i see one on top of the down pipe and one on the headers plus the pipe is three pieces the headers and then a two part downpipe with a ball joint?? So if im getting this right you need to repostion the o2 sensor behind the cat so it does not read a code even on a 2.0 SE?? sry if i sound like a moron i just wanna make sure i do it right

hey, just from experience, obx headers i dont think hold very well at the welds; my buddy got them on his 03 focus zx3 and the welds from the tubes to the flange at the engine cracked.

SE's and all pretty much all other OBDII Nissans also have a precat. The one in our manifold is a bit less obvious.

There's one up top and one kind of underneath the car. Move the second one behind the cat when you install the header or do the spark plug defouler trick, which is explained in the Quick Fixes thread in the ToC.

That's the first I've heard against any OBX header. Their Nissan ones have held up well from everything I've seen.

Another option is SSAutochrome. They used to be a terrible knockoff brand, but they upped their quality significantly. I still wouldn't touch their turbo parts, but their SR20 and QR25 headers have done well.
