Yes, because Obama being comfortable by speaking in Generalities and platitudes indicates that he is good thinking on h feet. If that is the qualification for being a good President, sign me up. I can do that.

McCain's response does show me one thing. He is interested in getting the truth/correct information out. I dont look down at my Senior Director or Senior Vice President when they say, "Bud, I will have to get back to you on that question. " Becuase I know an email to the whole division is going to be sent with the answer to that question.bud

I have an idea - Let me go play "reporter" and ask BO some retarded irrelevant obscure question and see how fast he is on his feet.

Seriously, we've already established (and it's pretty common knowledge among media types) that BO is lost w/o his Teleprompter. This is a non-issue.

Wait a minute. The whole point is that McCain has "so many homes" that he can't even count them. Right?

The reporter didn't ask the question because he actually thought the number was important. He asked it to make an implication. So, McCain deflected. Heck, he probably doesn't actually know. Why would he? Have you read the list? Relatives live in some of them. Others look like a city business condo. Cindy McCain has rather large business interests. McCain wouldn't know which were owned by a corporation, which were owned by a trust, which had been sold to a relative on payments. Who knows?

But at any rate, the reason Obama jumped on it was to play class warfare. So, judge it in that light.

It's simply more insinuation that McCain is too old to be President. Same with Bob constantly bringing up his cancer.

EXACTLY.

And he's bringing a feather duster to a gunfight.

Remember, BO has a healthy income as well... and if we really want to get technical, he's probably rarely (if ever) had to "work hard" for it.

I'd love to see him trying to cozy up to some steelworkers' or carpenters' union and someone ask him, "Hey Senator - Have you ever sweated?"

He'd be smart to avoid painting himself as a "working-class" candidate.

Bob doesn't constantly bring up his cancer. I commented once that I wish he'd get rid of the chew. And I understand that that's not cancer, its glandular.

His age is another thing. I want a president that doesn't need a morning and afternoon nap just to function for an hour or two. I want a president that can finish a speech without nodding off into lala land. One who can think on his feet and compose a sentence without that "dog with a concussion" look on his face when he tries to. And one who doesn't borrow his "cross in the sand" story from another persons book. I'm not asking that much.

So again, when Bob's right we'll make Bob the bad guy. Nope,Won't work. McCain still came off as retarded and incapable, or unwilling, to answer a simple question. However his "I'm lost and hungry" look on his face speaks for itself.

Franklin Roosevelt ran the country pretty well and he had polio right?

Ronald Reagan was the oldest pres. ever elected I believe, and that was a huge criticism of him throughout his campaign and his years in office. Yet he's now remembered as one of the best presidents ever.

So I don't think it's fair to criticize McCain for having a skin issue on his cheek and for being a bit older than the average Pres.

Besides, the POTUS is just a figurehead anyway.. right.

No body is criticizing McCain for this. There are two issues with it that certainly are relevant to the US presidency.1. Will he be, and continue to be healthy enough to function as president.2. Who will become POTUS if he doesn't last his term.

Given the above two questions, his health, and his age are certainly relevant. This isn't meant as a low blow, but a reality check for his supporters.

Never even insinuated any such thing.

My post was pointedly and directly aimed at Obama's pathetic and hypocritical attempts to paint J-Mac as "out of touch" with the "working class".

At least he worked. Obama claimed to "work his way through college", yet that's a stretch at best...

Does facts and truth about McCain rattle you?

"The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly aiding Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of an investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB).

After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 that Alan Cranston, Dennis DeConcini, and Donald Riegle had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB in its investigation of Lincoln Savings. Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".

All five of the senators involved served out their terms. Only Glenn and McCain ran for re-election, and they were both re-elected."

McCain used poor judgement back then. He used poor judgement with respect to the Iraq war. He is using poor judgement in his campaign, and in my opinion does not deserve to be elected President of the United States.

The American people do not deserve another continuation of four years of Bush and Republician mismanagement of our country.

Agreed. Perhaps, then, the people who insist that McCain should be elected because of his experience over 30 years ago will quit giving him a pass on what he has done and failed to do more recently. POW in Vietnam does NOT give you a free pass to the Presidency; both the conservative base and his campaign should quit reacting that it does every time he is criticized for a "senior moment" or bad judgement or failure to do the job in Washington the taxpayers are already paying him to do.

So then does that make Union Members dangerous people too? With the proliferation of Teachers that molest students?

Not sure what a Mormon Cult in Texas has to do with John McCain and how many houses he has. But if you are going to assissinate the character of church going people by the actions of one Mormon Cult, then we can take the gloves off and attribute to you all the evil things that Jimmy Hoffa did as a Teamster.
