I just got this in the mail and 6 pages in, I'm loving it.

Original 1989 Road & Track guide to the NEW Infiniti Q45.

I have searched for years for a book about the origins, development, prototypes, testing and general philosophy of Infiniti---Lexus has TWO books!!

Its around 70 pages of awesome stuff and full color photos. If I get enough response I'll consider scanning and uploading a PDF for everyone to enjoy.

If you own ANY Q45, you NEED to give this a read-through.

The link is worthless :(

I'd love to see the history behind the Q45!! When i had my FD Rx-7, i read a great book on it, where they showed the conception of styling the "new" FD body. And come to find out the MX-3 was actually a design intended for the RX, but not being exactly what they had in mind for the rotary-born chassis, yet still intriguing enough, they created another car model from just that drawing. I bought a similar book for my Miata, written by one of the original engineers of that project. It was awesome seeing all the intricacies of the planning, purpose and engineering that isn't translated by FSM's or brochures. I never found one on the Q though.

If you're feeling froggy... please, jump right on scanning that in!

I have the Road & Track magazine and the Hard cover book that comes in a sleeve and simply says in bold red "Q45" on the front and at the rear "Infiniti". It talks all about the car from the drawing board up to production. Goes into detail about almost every thing. It has 109 pages of info and the last few pages are just various poses of the car in different environments.

I have a gray marble/countertop color book with gold Q45 on the front, Infiniti on the back.
Inside back cover says Nissan Motor Company, Ltd 1989

Has some sweet pics of a dark red touring Q, in the first few pages.

Here's the Q45 Coffee table book. I'm not sure why it's listed as a 1991 book - it is 1989...

The coffee table book is sweet, I have one of them and I've never seen anything like that a manufacturer has created for one single car... :)

The hardcover? I bought mine off the bay last week. $10. The book I started the thread about is the Car & Driver guide to the new Q45.

Were the books on the Lexus as detailed and specific as the Q?

Actually, yes. I believe the infiniti book detailed the engine design and engineering better, but that's about it.
