swapping a rb20 into my buddies s13. Every where i have read it is supposed to be a direct bolt in with r32 crossmember and s13 trany crossmember. Our tranyy crossmember is not lining up, and the shifter is hittlng the front of the whole on the chasis. The only thing left i can think of is maybe it has cefiro motormounts. i need a pic of the r32 mounts. any other suggestions would help also!!!

I think I remember having those same issues. I want to say that I spun the transmission crossmember 180 degrees (then bolted on the rubber part) and I think the holes lined up.

I also want to say that you can take the snap ring out of your shifter, pull it up out of the transmission and spin it 180 degrees also, so that it angles toward the seats (mine was facing forward toward the dash and hit the plastic console all the time).

I have pics posted, but they are on another site from long ago (240sxforums.com, I think) under the same name: s13_240_rb20

You can try searching eBay or google images or anywhere for "r32 motor mounts" or "RB20 motor mounts" or "RB20DET motor mounts" etc etc

WE ORIGINALLY DID TURN THE TRANS CROSSMEMBER AROUND. IT FIT BUT WAS AT A ANGLE THAT DIDNT LOOK GOOD, CAUSE ONE SIDE OF THE TRANS CROSSMEMBER IS TALLER THAN THE OTHER. IS THIS HOW EVERYONE DOES IT, AND DOES IT WORK FINE?

With the R32 crossmember i used cheap ebay BMW E30 mounts. They work like a hot damn:I didnt have to cut the hood with those isolators (but i did shim the hood by 2 washers )

Also, you need to you need to use an s13 auto transmission crossmember.
