The key no longer works and the switch no longer works , if we have to drill it then replace it with Wes`s used one then no problem, however I have no clue how to drill out a lock, any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Just off the top of my head, but can you get into the trunk by taking out the back seat, once in there could you open the trunk from inside?

Todd, I would honestly look into seeing how much it cost to get a locksmith to pop the lock and start from there.

Worse case scenario at least you get it open and can then get the lock off.

I agree, unless you have something in there you need right away just stop by a locksmith the next time you see one. Probably won't charge much if anything if not a house call and you could drop off the cylinder at the same time. My other suggestion depends on the year of your Q45 as 1994 had a keyless remote FOB trunk button. However, my truck release button never worked for what ever reason even though the release in the armrest worked fine.

Crazy question, but is the valet button in the glove box turned off?

Another stupid question, but have you tried having someone pull the deck lid while pushing the button?

My trunk sticks sometimes, so does the hood.

Yeha, thats what we had to do when I first got my Q... And on my old Q.. The little flappy thing that triggers the lock must be bent a little periodically...

Its even worse on Q45t's because of the spoiler.....
