I have a '94 Q45 - the apple of my eye. I want to make her into a hot rod, and have been collecting equipment information for several months. I'm thinking of taking her turbo (or maybe nitrous), and wouldn't mind a parachute. Does anyone know of a shop that can take on a Q? I just had a 1983 Firebird Trans Am restored, but don't want that shop to handle my Q (they'll just farm her out anyway).

Any leads would be appreciated.

Jerry Tucker in NE San Diego is the guru of Qs on the west coast. They know it inside and out, get their number from the website at http://www.jerrytucker.net

Thanks for the tip. I will check out the web site and call Tucker asap. Noticed you used Stillen parts (i.e. tension rods). Hope you are happy with them. I was considering the upgraded computer from Stillen. Probably Tucker will know all about that. Thanks so much for your reply.

JWT (Jim Wolfe Technologies) seems to be the more commonly used ECU upgrade.

Here's a sampling of "suggested" upgrades for a 94.http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....shtml

I wasn't sure if Stillen actually works on the Q's - the website was ambiguous. I'll give Stillen a call on that - it's the obvious thing to do. Thanks for pointing that out.

It will be interesting to see what portions THEY actually do :-)

They get a lot of their stuff elsewhere, but them being by my buddy's office .... we've seen a lot of Q's rolling out of there on "test" drives ..... they were testing how long Micheline vs. Dunlop leave rubber, and what color the SMOKE was!

Good luck.

Other forum readers note that Q's aren't Stillen's focus - the Z's are its forte. I think I'll have to visit the place just because it is so famous. Then I can see whats'up. I'd just take the Dunlops, anyway, on the tire issue. Once I do more research, I'll post what I find and who I've talked to.

Thanks for the tip, it is much appreciated.

Sounds like a drive-thru. Better than Taco Bell. I need more than that part, as the transmission will need some work, and I want air shocks, and other parts. She needs to be cleaned up a bit. Sounds like a lot of people like the JWT upgrade. That's on my list.
