I just like 'em, the current one with the line of folks standing next to the road to support the cars is real neat.

And The ones were it showed the eclipse just driving thru a nite around town with republica songs was also real cool.

And then the one a few years ago with the guy dancing to Republica in front of some old store front and images of ex gf's.

I dont know if anyone agrees but I find their commercials real attractive to me.

Almost like car-music-videos.

Fred..

I keep hoping the car will lose it and squish some of those red dudes. That'd be funny.

I think the Van Halen-Barbie Z32 commercial is one of the best ever...

the new commercial for the Cobalt where it keeps tapping the vette's bumper is pretty damn amusing though...

Same here. I like it all up until the dump 2 B13 Sentras outta the trucks. Why did Nissan have to get draged into this? They coulda easily used a Geo.

Personally, I'd like to see just *one* commercial showing an Evo in full rally trim tearing **** up, kind of like some of the Subaru commercials.

It's strange how Mistubishi adverstising (at least TV) tends to ignore, IMO, the only interesting car they produce. Even Chevy shows the C6 'Vette and the SSR in their commercials when you know damn well that most folks are gonna be buying a Crapalier, a Malibu or one of those hideous Aveo things instead of a $50K+ car.

I havent seen a Mitsu commercial in a while... I havent had TV in a year. The last one I saw had an Eclipse with some girl in a hat dancing like she suffered from cerebral pulsea.

To tell you the truth, I think the new galant looks very nice. I'd drive it.

I have nothing against mitsubishi aside from the fact that they make unreliable slow overpriced fwd pos' (ala 3000GT)

Lancer Evo is excluded from this. Same with anything followed by VR-4 or the Starion.

I'm really curious to see what happens to Mitsubishi in the US since Daimler Chrysler has stopped pumping money in to the company.

IMO, they're product lineup is (excluding the Evo, which is a niche vehicle) pretty bland and uninspired. They use the 10 year powertrain warranty as a big selling point, but I'd honestly pick a Hyundai vehicle (with the same warranty) over a Mistu one in every segment (excluding the Evo, of course).

IMO, I'd feel better about Hyundai quality and longevity in the US market than I would about Mitsubishi.

I kinda find it funny that they claim to have the best backed cars in America, right after they had to declare bankruptcy. Doesn't exactly scream "reliable" to me.

I wouldn't touch either a mitsu (excluding evo) or a hyundai. They're both getting better about reliability, but imo they're not quite there yet. I was talking to this tow truck guy, and he was saying that those were the top two brands that he towed. He's only one guy so its not an entirely fair statement to make, but I'd take honda reliability over those two any day.

"Best backed" is a joke.

10 year LIMITED powertraibn warranty. Big damn deal. Read the limitations, they exclude 99% of failures anyway. Don't miss an oil change!!!

Their warranty (when you break it down) is no bettrer than most other manufacturers'.

p.s. The Galant is one of the most "disposable" cars built today. They used to buy them 10 at a time for tent sales at Infiniti of Scotsdale (when i worked there). Dealer paid $6K for them (2003 with 10K miles) and sold them to poor bastards with crappy credit for $13-$15K.

I did meet a guy with a mid 90s Diamante with 206k. Comfy, quiet, but unspecial. I always liked those cars, but they constantly came up short in every way: quality, performance, luxury, comfort.

Its a nice car (made in Australia) but always feels like it's one step down from the rest.

Yep, 3000GT's are just overgrown eclipses. Most are FWD, modestly powered and plagued with a dizzying array of problems. The select few that are AWD and Turbo are novel and can be quick when running, but 3000GT's are just too heavy for their own damn good. Chicks like the way they look though.

I like this style Diamante. I remember reading Motor Trend or Car & Driver... they described it as a $30K M5 or something to that effect.

Modestly powered is an overstatment. Try slow. Horrendously slow.

It looks good at least.

Cool commercial, but I'd take a Benz or Beamer anyday. Cadillac not so much, although I like the STS styling. I can always picture Trinity drivng that car, LOL!

The Germans will:1) Leave you stranded.2) Steal your wallet.3) Blame you.

Mercedes-Benz and BMW arent what they used to be. See Autoweek's comparison, where the S430 broke down twice, and was eventually carried away on a flatbed, or their C-class wagon driver's log, where the suspension made crunching noises and the glove box fell out.

And don't get me started on the ML-class *shudder*

i have long hated mitsus due to the fact that EVERYTHING on them breaks early(relatively speaking). that was then.one day i saw that commercial where the two '94 sentras got tossed out of trucks. now its all out war. just about any mitsu with miles will leak oil from everywhere(just my personal experience). the v6's dont leak as bad but they sure can burn some. the 3000gt motor has the added benifit of spinning rod bearings(just ask one of the 3s enthusiasts about that). ever see a chrysler minivan rolling down the road smoking like all get out? chances are thats a fine mitsu sohc v6. dont get me started on the transmissions either. lol, they are the worst thing made in japan. strangely they make many quality "parts". it just seems that the complete autos bearing their name suck. oh, and the engines they sold to chrysler before the buyout.

The best commercial was with the Dirty Vegas song...Days Go By. It had the girl in the clipse break dancing.
