Does anyone else have this problem?

I must be getting old. I used to love to drive at night, but now my eyes don't allow it. I have to strain to see and wind up with a headache. I can't drive more than five minutes at night anymore. I went to the optometrist (sp?) Wednesday and now I'm getting glasses w/ anti-glare coating next week. Maybe that'll help.

I have severe haze and flare at night. Also my eyes being only 20/40 r 20/50 l are mainly from my astigmatism that actually doubles my vision at a distance. Picture all the stop lights looking like eggs on their side...

Im getting them sliced and burned, errr corrected, very shortly though.

Not only is my night vision horrendous, like I go blind when I walk into a dark room others dont have a problem with, for a few minutes, but my focal point while driving has closened...

This sucks as I love to auto-x but Im practically looking at the nose of my car vs at the next corner. Damn them corners come up fast now One of my top reasons, besides so I can see, for getting the correction.

BTW Ill be 15-20 in both and have better night vision after wards...

Edit: I dont get as many headaches anymore as I just always squint... OH YEAH I found out I may have glaucoma, and have to go back for a dialation test to make sure I do or dont good times.

groundhogday1976, beta-carotene helps (eat more carrots, or take supplements). also, this may sound stupid, but your headlights may be poor, it became easier for me to drive at nights after i changed my stock 13 year old dim yellow lights for a pair of brand new ones (Sylvania Silverstars $50).
