when i got halo 3 i thought it was the best thing out there, then i got COD4 and tried to play halo again, and wondered how i thought that piece of garbage was fun.

All the matches come down to running at the other guy with guns blazing and the first one to hit the melee (sp?) button gets the kill.

they just tried changing the game too much. they friggin ruined themselves by changing weapon locations and the amount of damage. It really seemed that no matter how much you shot someone, the death was completely random.

COD4 owns the crap out of Halo 3 because your kills are at least legit....not to mention how much more life-like the graphics are (EVERYTHING for that matter).

I left COD4 to go back to Halo. Halo is such a good FPS for multiplayer. The kills actually follow specific rules much more than COD4 and you actually have a chance of reversing a Kill if someone get's the jump on you in Halo which promotes accuracy and reduces a lot of the camping that goes on in COD4, with people just waiting for you to walk by and shoot you. Halo is a more multidimensional game with a lot of environmental things you can use to your advantage, many levels of combat any so many things that can reverse any situation that you get into and far better multiplayer setup and multiplayer servers. It's just an all around better multiplayer experience in my opinion. I give Call of Duty credit for making me a better sniper and providing a fun Hiatus from Halo but that's about it. Good game, Halo is just better.

I mean its life like, but im not playing it for realization, im playing it for fun, and halo3 delivers that, not to mention the teabag graphics are great! Like redtop said, it takes a little bit more skill to play it, because you can at least have a chance to out gun someone and use the environment a little bit more to kill an opponent. Games are suppose to be cartoon like for its entertainment

That isn't what makes the game gay unless you are dumb enough or sorry enough to let the situation get reversed. If you chase someone you are shooting at blindly around the corner and they have a grenade or shotty waiting for you that doesn't make the game gay, it makes you an idiot.

Ive played both, love both. But recently Ive tried playing COD4 and it gets boring

real fast. I just havent played any of my games lately lol. Now every time I put on

Halo, I can play it for a longer time than I did before. But COD4, Halo3, and GTA

IV have been getting boring lately for me. Cant wait till the new Guitar Hero

um, you have no idea whether i was good or bad. in fact, i typically rape at FPS. In this case, I was raping in Halo, until they came out with an "update" and moved and eliminated a ton of weapons around the maps and made them all less sensitive. Guarantee you won't see COD4 doing that crap.

COD gets old really quick. I know people that go back and forth and people that are loyal to one side. I think COD is getting played out just because you can get bonuses and things during play. You actually need skill to play Halo. In order to rank up you have certain factors like K/D spread and winning matches. In COD you just need to kill people to rank up.

If you don't like the game, that's fine. But it seems your distaste for the game has you taking subjective elements of the game and arguing them as objective. The deaths can't be random. They are based on the programming that went into them. Its not like the game has a mind of its own. There is nothing illegitimate about the kills. In fact, Bungie explained some of it quite clearly. A search in their forums will reveal just about all the details as well.

Graphics? The level of detail in the models and maps are not that disimilar. But you are comparing the visual design elements of the game. Do you expect that they make it look and play like COD4 and then call it a Halo game?

No game company can expect everyone to like their game. The devs would kill themselves if they tried to make a game that pleased everyone. They would love to be able to do so, but that's a pretty unrealistic goal. As such, I don't expect you to like Halo. But if you're make a negative argument about a game, perhaps you can offer some quantifiable points. Arguing that something feels random means nothing to me as I don't feel the same way...

Hey redtop and Absolushun, I have about a dozen of my local friends that play every Sunday from 8:00pm - 1:00am Central time, then Monday - Thursday 10pm - 1:00am Central time. We basically take off the weekend for family time with the wife and kids. We are very, very competitive! High communication and dedicated roles of course. I would like to have another good killer on my friends list..... especially a Nissan enthusiast!

I am not sure if you are familiar with it, but we had a website during Halo 2 called HaloForefathers.com. Our site was the #1 picked Halo site for several months. We had podcasts and was also talked about in EGM. However, the site fizzled out as my friend that ran it ended up training for marathons.
