Does anyone actually have a running RB20?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

Seem's like theres a lot of talk of the RB25, but does anyone here actually own a 240 with a fully operational RB20DET in it?

Just curious as to the characteristics of the motor besides what's on paper.

Also wondering what kind of power the RB20DET is capable of with not-to-crazy modifications ( i.e. turbo back exhaust, bigger turbo, fmic, boost and fuel control )

yes I have spoken with 2 Rb20 owners just this weekend about the oil pan/sway bar issue and the hood issue

modify the hood

oilpan.....mcadam tossed the idea of usinf pipe insulator. We are going to try that for a quick fix. Eventually I will get custom mounts. I hear mounts from a nissan truck work good. Which truck, I have no clue

I've got one and I know of at least 3 people w/ them. I know there are like at least 25 or so in the US. Mine just sits on the sway bar and the hood just rests on the BOV until I can figure something out. I would recommend paying the extra $1500 and go w/ the RB25. I'm probably going to sell mine and start over w/ an RB25 or maybe even a 26 ( if this new job works out;) )

BUY A WHITELINE ADJUSTABLE STYLE AND YOU CAN MOVE THE BAR CLOSER OR FURTHER FROM THE OIL PAN.

spec-V will have one about a week after it gets here, optimistically.

apex-7>>> if you sell yours, how much would you want for it and where are you located? I may end up getting one for myself if spec-v's turns out nice. I've got a 90 hatch that needs a six banger. RB20 or VG30, decisions decisions...
