Does anybody know how to program a keyless remote 97 q45?

I bought the car a while back and the remote never worked so I put in a new battery, and it still does not do anything. I was hoping somebady could tell me the steps to programing it. Thank You!!

Check for correct FCC number. Did it work previously?

It did not work when I bought the car so I put a new battery in, and tried to reset. It did nothing so I found one on line at http://www.keylessremotesonline.com for about $60, hope it works!
