Does all this dealer cash affect resale value

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I see that Infiniti has been giving dealer cash for the EX35 on and off throughout the past year. I wonder if that affects the resale value down the line?

I would say yes but the exact percentage may vary based upon the supply and demand for used cars.

Yes, it definitely does affect resale value. But it's better to offer a cash incentive than to lower the MSRP. Lowering the MSRP REALLY hurts resale because anyone can go on the website and see that a new model (with more features etc.) sells for only a little more than a used model.

On the other hand, cash incentives come and go so not all buyers are aware that they ever even existed.
