I'm about to be buying some STBs for my '93 Coupe. What I'm wondering is will it make a difference if I install a rear one? Because in the coupe, there is already structural support above the actual strut towers. I wouldn't see how there could be that much deformation? So, I'm debating on whether to buy a set (front and rear) of Pilot STBs or just spending the money on an Apex'i FRONT STB instead. And, NO, I'm not asking about that.

Thanks

I have a coupe (s14) and I'd say YES!!! I have upper and lower rear STB's.. and it made a dramatic difference. ...even with stock springs!

A good quality set of STBs will make a difference in your chassis' stiffness. The best STBs are the multi point braces made by a few Japanese tuners, almost as good are the standard Japanese bars made by JIC-Magic, Cusco and others. A good rule of thumb with braces is "beefy is better". :sleep

Did you do anything else to the rear end when you put on the rear stbs? I've also been wondering how much of a difference a rear stb would make in an s14...there is metal between the towers, but it doesn't seem like it would be structural (general economics of car manufacturing, if it doesn't have to be rigid, don't make it rigid and save some money)

picked up both strut bars, and i got them seperately.

i have a '90 coupe, i put the front on first (from PDM) noticed a pretty big difference at first. a few days later i picked up the rear bar (pilot) the difference was even more noticeable thatn the front one.

obivously i didnt get real high end bars, i'm with the crowd that'll tell you a bar is a bar. but either way, you gotta have one err... both
