Does a Leaf cancel out your Q?

Bought my wife a Leaf last weekend, the ultimate Ying to my Yang. I can feel good aboug driving my V8 now that the wife mobile the equivalent of 100 MPG.

It is pretty fun to drive and has all the modern toys I would love to have on my Q (good NAV, voice recognition, bluetooth, backup camera etc)

Lets get some measurements on the engine bay. VH swap? Or should I just get a prius and plop one in there.

I think it would be quite a close call to get it in there . But when we drove the the Leaf was cool and the Prius was dorky.

The Leaf may be a cool car, but I absolutely hate it's marketing... that commercial with all of the world's appliances operating on small dirty engines makes me want to yell at the TV - "99% of your cars run on engines dumba$$es!"

It's like McDonalds having a commercial for salads trashing burgers, fries, and chicken nuggets.

I thought it was sort of clever, but wasn't the reason I bought the car. But they are making the point that all our cars do run on gas and nothing else really does, everything else is powered by electric. But I have scene it enough times now....they should pull it.

Yea I agree. You know as much as me that the bay area is prius land; I cant go a day without seeing two prius lined up that are the same color at a stop light. Luckily we are seeing more leafs each day along with teslas on the peninsula.

My Leaf more than offsets my Q45, because my Q45 hasn't moved in 4 years!

The real question: If I drop my Q45's V8 into my leaf, can I still use the carpool lane?

It is butt cold here!!!! The wife and i were at a Holiday party in San Carlos this PM as it were, it was 40 when we left and 36 in HMB when we just arrived.

Whats a carpool sticker? here in Kansas we have no stickers for carpooling.....at least i don't think so,ive never seen one lol

Yes, I know, there are lots of places in the US where you don't need those, problem is I cannot make a living in any of them.
