Does anyone know of or know if a block heater was made for the VK45DE? If aftermarket is the path we have to take what brand does anyone suggest?

Also* how difficult is installation? I live in Tennessee and I know it’s not an extreme climate of any kind, but we have plenty of 8-20 degree mornings.. I hope to cut warm up time to about 4-5 minutes and go-

I believe I stumbled upon one from Canada on ebay, but I can't find it at the moment.

As an aside:
Aren't those mainly to help with starting?
Most manufacturers recommend the best way to warm an engine is to drive it. 5 minutes of moderate driving beats 5 minutes of sitting at idle at 700 RPM - for the purposes of warming up.

Yea, essentially it helps with starts on severely cold mornings or nights.. it helps keep block warm, oil warm and essentially prevent cold start wear and quicker heat..

At 8-20 degrees, I think I'd be using a good 0W oil and call it good. Block heaters are for temperatures with a "-" in front of them. :D
