Does a CAI increase or decrease fuel economy?

Since there are so much misinformation out there about a CAI I thought I ask you guy - the cai users. Do you notice your fuel economy increase or decrease with a CAI?

From everyone I've talked to, there will not be a noticeable difference (unless you like to get on it more often because you like the sound ).

it all depends on ur driving habits, for exp. once u install a CAI there will be noticeable increase in acceleration and with that being said u might want to step on the gas more so of course ur mileage will decrease. if your in normal mode(not pushing the car hard and just cruising) then your gas mileage will increase a little bit but not by a lot. so in the end your mileage depends on how u drive.

Since almost everyone said that the cai is better then the stock intake and there isn't much power gain, then isn't it a waste of money?
